About

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon and certified in clinical anxiety treatment. I work with young adults, adults, and teens experiencing anxiety, panic, intrusive thoughts, self-harm, overthinking, and patterns that can be hard to get out of once you're in them. Sometimes you know logically that you're okay, but your brain or body doesn't seem convinced. You may find yourself avoiding, checking, seeking reassurance, replaying things in your head, or doing whatever you can to get some relief from what you're feeling. Often those things work—for a little while. That's part of what can make these patterns so hard to change. My style is warm, curious, practical, and collaborative. We'll get curious about what's happening in your thoughts and your body, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work on responding differently when things feel uncomfortable or overwhelming. My approach draws from CBT and exposure-based therapy, parts work, and mind-body approaches. I also like helping people understand what's happening in their brain and body, because knowing why your alarm system is going off can make it easier to decide what to do with that information. You don't have to show up knowing exactly where to start. We'll figure that out together. My goal is to help you feel less overwhelmed, understand yourself better, and build more confidence in your ability to handle difficult thoughts, feelings, and sensations without them having so much say in what you do.
